INTRODUCTION

The Red Crescent Hospital is located in East Jerusalem, it is a tertiary level perinatal Center in Palestine , serving the West Bank, and East Jerusalem with an estimated population of 1.5 million. It is a referral base for approximately 3500 deliveries per year and wide range Gynecological cases and procedures.

 

In 2001 RCH started with Al-Quds University training program - in OB/GYN practices - for medical students and it is training interns and midwives in the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Now we are starting a self - paced residency training program for physicians - in OB/GYN practices which is recognized by Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynecology ( London ). It is designed for physicians who want to update their skills and earn valuable education.

 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This program will be conducted at RCH. After the residents pass their 2 nd year exam we may arrange for them to receive part of their training in other institutions.

The duration of the program will be 4 years. The residents will earn pocket money from our hospital if they pass our local examination every year:

Participants will be allowed to continue the program if they pass MRCOG 1 exam within two years from their entrance date.

This program is accepted by Royal Collage of Obstetrics & Gynecology ( London ).
